European Youth Forum General Assembly

In the period of 21-23 November, in Amiens, France, took place the European Youth Forum General Assembly.

The first event within the Forum was the award ceremony within were announced that the European Youth Capital 2022 to be Tirana, Albania.

During the Assembly were debated the future policies of the YFJ. The main outcomes of the work of 139 official delegates, which was done within 9 plenary sessions and 6 Policy Commissions, were the debates of 224 amendments, and as a result, the adoption of the new Strategic plan of the YFJ 2020 – 2023, the policy paper on Future of Work and Youth,  resolution on Expanding Space for Youth Organisations, National Youth Councils and International Non-Governmental Youth Organisations and a Declaration on the 20th University on Youth and Development.

The National Youth Council of Moldova (CNTM) is a full member organization of the YFJ. CNTM were represented at the event by Andrei Gaiu, Board Member of CNTM / Executive Director of the Association ”Youth for the right to live”. Andrei had several interventions within the Plenary sessions and Policy Commissions, including the promotion of volunteering development and the perception of its value to the society, a clearer and respectful communication between the YFJ Secretariat, Board Members and the members organizations, social inclusion of young migrants across the Europe etc.

Because the lack of time, the debates of the Resolution on Gender Equality proposed by AEGEE, were postponed till the next COMEM, which will take place in April 2020.
