Helsinki’s upcoming EYV Tour stop promises diverse program

Serious talks and a lot of fun – all related the subject of volunteering. The upcoming tour stop in Helsinki will be hosted in the recently built premises of the Representation of the EC in the capital of Finland. The agenda indicates a diverse, interesting set of program. The 2/3 of the activities is full of important discussions between key figures of volunteering in Finland. Numberless institutions, organisations and associations will participate, such as the Civil Society Policy Advisory Board KANE, Finnish Red Cross, Finnish Youth Cooperation just to mention a few. The opening discussion of the tour on voluntary activities in Europe and how the EU can improve the conditions for volunteering will be led by  Mr Pekka Nurminen, Head of European Parliament Information Office.

For the 17th of September the EYV tour moves out to the Kamppi Square in front the EC building and will count with the enthusiastic participation of 70 organizations and the famous Egg Man (!!)

 They will show the fun side of volunteering with music, sports and many more interactive activities all with the attention to add prestige to volunteering and involve new volunteers.
